First off, let me say that I have been trying to get the survey posted on line for several weeks now. Our technology department has assured me that it can be put up lickety split once permission is granted from above. Once again humans are bogging up what technology can do instantly. I hear your pleas to see what it says and I understand. I know your tax money paid for it and you want to see the data. I am doing my best to get it posted on the district web site. If I must resort to scanning it myself and posting it, I will.
But for now I am once again going to give you some highlights from the survey. This time around I’m going to give you the low down on what the low priorities and dissatisfaction with the district numbers are. To make this list, the percentages of the bottom 2 satisfaction/priority section of the survey had to total 25% or more. I know this is a much lower threshold than the previous list but I figure if a quarter of respondents are dissatisfied or think an item is low priority, it’s an area we should look closely at.
Low priorities are:
Air conditioning 39.2%
Building use for community functions 27.3%
Public relations employee 42%
Public relations specialist 51.5%
Bussing for high school students 46.4%
Dissatisfaction areas:
Maintaining small class sizes 32.1%
College entrance guidance 33.3%
Counseling and social services 34.1%
Life skills instruction 31.5%
Parental involvement training 40.4%
Public relations employee 39.5%
Efficiency of bussing 28.5%
Life skills courses 29.7%
Workplace preparation courses 32.7%
Not too bad. Another thing that really stands out to me is how our community seems to be in tune with what is going on inside and outside our school buildings. They really seem to know what it’s going to take to send our kids into the future armed with the necessary tools to succeed. So tell me, what do you think so far?

This survey just shows that the taxpayers are not as dumb as some people in charge had hoped.
Amen to that one bigdaddy!
Kellie is this the survey that is suppose to say how all the city thinks that school employees should pay their benefits?
I want to see a teacher run for school board, there are 2 seats open what about 2 teachers on the board. Any teachers out there that leaves in the Falls but works elsewhere interested? Maybe a retired teacher would like to give it a try (at least it is better than that old retired administrator that is going to run again).
The survey summary is now posted on the district website. Go to downloads and links, you will find it under community survey at the bottom. Enjoy.
Correction - the survey results are now on the districts home page. What is posted is a summary again enjoy!
Look out! May-May is saying that Grime's is going to resign so Dunphy gets to lead the board. They think it will help her get elected!
She can put on glass slippers if she likes, It's not going to save her ass this time. We Know where she lives and what she's about.
If indeed Mr.Grimes steps down, he will look like a complete fool.
If Mrs.Dunphy thinks this will help her, she too is a fool.
The games need to stop, there is work that needs done. We need to elect new people.
Wow! I think that's a great idea!!! Practically guarantees that neither of them will get elected ever again.
It's just more slimy politics!
Why did you have to go and blow the plan? Now the secret is out nothing will happen. Is this why she ask that the time for the September meeting be changed to meet her needs, so she could be there to run the show? Talk about self-centered and self-absorbed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Muzzy thinks we are going to have a lot of fun watching all this unfold this fall.
Some candidates have their campaigns up and running. Others are still in the shadows.
Who are the board candidates in the 07 election?
The two people that are out and running are Molly Benedum and Barry Ganslein. Kellie has a link to their blogs on the right side of her home page.
Pay attention to these two, they will listen and respect the taxpayers of Cuyahoga Falls.
The following people have taken out petitions from the board of elections
Molly Benedum, lives in the Falls
Barry Ganslein, lives in the Falls
Steven Robert Wright, lives in the Falls
Jon Turney, lives with his parents in Sliver Lake
Therese Dunphy, incumbent and lives in Silver Lake.
Go Falls Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Where oh where has Kellie gone? Must be on vacation?
By the way taxpayer, where have you been? It's been damn boring without you.
I am trying to stay away.
Well I hope everything is ok, and if it is, then get your rear back here LOL.
I cannot believe that Heath is running. Dammit he lied! He was part of the board that screwed up the money. He said he was done!
Was he on the board that payed the Ceo to go away?
you betcha he was!!
My god! How much more does he want to do. Give Ed more money?
Do we need to remind him of all those things?
You have to feel for Heath in that whole Scarsberry mess though. He really couldn't say much about the Board prez boinking the Super since it's pretty well known in certain circles that ol' Bobby has had his fun with his underlings too.
It's really amazing that he was able to get elected in the first place with his personnel record.
I had heard about Bob doing a little board boinking before. Its the money spent to get rid of Scarberry that makes me mad.
Do you get paid for board boinking?
It's like a executive session right?
Actually the way I heard it was that while he was a principal, Heath was involved with some sort of extramarital something or other with a district employee that was beneath him.
Caused quite the stir at the time.
